The mission of the Social Justice Club is to promote awareness of racial and gender inequalities in our society. We will examine the history of discrimination  and prejudice, the structures of power and privilege, and the theories which social justice leaders have proposed for dismantling these structures.  Our focus will be connecting history and global issues to our daily lives. Our goal is that people of all backgrounds and identities will work together to make positive change.

The Social Justice Club will serve as a safe space for all students and teachers to share their experiences of injustice and inequality. We will utilize critical thinking and scholarly research, as well as the stories of our own lives, to plan constructive efforts for change in our social circles, school, workplaces and community.
